FanExpo Regina 2014

This weekend I went to the first ever Regina comic con called FanExpo. Usually my friend and I go to the Calgary comic con but due to budget restraints we didn't make it out this year. It was nice to have an expo closer to home and I think the turn out was pretty good. All the vendors were amazing, there were lots of people who dressed up and we even had a few celebrities make it out: Kevin Sorbo and Marina Sirtis among others.

This woman's booth had some amazing artwork. She did paintings of classic gothic characters like Lydia from Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands. I really wanted an Edward but she was sold out of them by the time I got back to her booth.
This guy is out of Saskatoon and he makes these stunning drinking horns and he had an impressive selection of Thor hammers and other celtic and pagan jewelry.

Super awesome Halo guy. It seems that there is always at least one at every con. I'm ok with this.

This group of friends made an amazing Avengers team. The only one they were missing was Iron man.

Unfortunately, I was so caught up with everything that I didn't remember to take any photos of myself. I'll try to recreate my outfits for another post.
This con turned out better than I expected and there was a really good turn out of people. I think the chances of it returning next year are pretty good. Hopefully it will be bigger and better.
Live long and prosper!
